The Vidalia Chamber works closely with the Concordia Economic and Industrial Development District, which keeps us up to date on new businesses looking at Vidalia, provides information about land and buildings available to new or expanding businesses, and gives us access to programs that help business people.
We also work closely with City Hall and the Bryant O. Hammett Conference and Convention Center, which brings in business people and others into town for conferences, association meetings, etc.
Committees
Your strongest contribution as a Chamber member is to be part of a committee, but it's also one of the best things you can do to further relationships with other members. Help the Chamber and help yourself. Become a committee member today!
What The Chamber is About
Our Mission
The mission of the Vidalia Chamber of Commerce is to provide the advancement of commercial, industrial, and community interests of the City of Vidalia, Louisiana.
The Vidalia Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of businesses and professionals who have joined together for the purpose of promoting the economic, civic and cultural well-being of Concordia Parish and the City of Vidalia.
Business and Community
As more and more small businesses open up in Vidalia, we feel that our focus should be on how to help them. The Vidalia Chamber has access to programs and seminars that can help small businesses in a number of ways:
- Search for and keep good employees.
- Customer Service - how to make yours the best.
- Marketing your business to the right target groups - the folks who want to buy your products and services.
- Finding financial backing for your business
- Budgeting and Taxes - some of the most difficult subjects for a business.
Business Programs We Support
The CHOICES program helps high school students learn time and money management, self-discipline, goal setting, and other important skills needed for our future employees and business owners.
Lead Louisiana is a 12-hour leadership seminar sponsored by the LSU AgCenter designed to increase the leadership skills of elected officials, existing and emerging community leaders and volunteers.
Workforce Summit -The Vidalia Chamber is teaming up with the Ferriday Chamber of Commerce, the Concordia Economic and Industrial Development District, and the Lousiana Workforce Investment Board to provide a forum in which business people can voice their concerns and problems with the local workforce, get assistance in meeting business goals and objectives, and channel those concerns to Louisiana lawmakers and the Governor's office.
